MENASHA, Wis. (WFRV) A rising star in the music scene is lending his voice to saving the Fox River. Cory Chisel and the Wandering Sons will perform tonight at UW Fox Valley in Menasha. Chisel is from Appleton, and recently appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman.
He's been touring the country with Grammy-award winner Norah Jones, but is coming back home to help the Fox-Wisconsin Heritage Parkway. The group aims to preserve the Fox River. It's a cause Chisel says is close to his heart.
The concert begins Friday at 8PM. It's been sold out for weeks. Next week, Chisel will begin the European leg of his tour, with gigs in Belfast, London and Rome.
