Sheboygan, Wis.(WFRV)--The Sheboygan County Sheriff's department and other search & rescue units have spent hours of manpower looking for a boater who fell into Lake Ellen early Sunday morning.
Now, a search & rescue unit from Clintonville believes they may have found the body of James Piechocki.
A cadaver dog from Independence K9 Search & Rescue from Clintonville is drawing attention on Lake Ellen in Sheboygan County.
Owner Larry Bricco says, "We use the dogs to pinpoint the target area and then we use other tools to find out where the target is."
Bricco believes his dog may have hit on the remains of 28-year-old James Piechocki. That's some small comfort for the family dealing with the tragedy.
Garry Bonney's daughter is one of four cousins who were on the boat early Sunday morning when James fell into the water.
Says Bonney, "They were just having some motor trouble and in the process of trying to get things going, James lost his balance and fell in."
Family members say the Sheboygan County Sheriff's Department has been notified of the possible location of the body. Now it's up to a dive team to search the water again.
