Suspicious Fire in Menasha

(WFRV)- Officials are investigating a suspicious fire in the Town of Menasha.

 

The fire was called in at around 10:00 a.m.Saturday at the Scottsdale East Apartments on Calumet Street.

 

Police Lt. Pete Deboer tells Local 5 the fire is suspicious in nature. The fire began in an elderly woman's apartment,  everyone was evacuated. Lt. Deboer says the woman was transported to a Madison Hospital for smoke inhalation..

 

All renters were allowed back inside their apartments, just after 3:00 p.m., except for the woman and those who lived in the apartment above her.
