Oshkosh, Wis. (WFRV)--It was back to school for kids all over northeast Wisconsin today.
And in Oshkosh- students, parents and teachers had some changes to deal with.
Because of construction on a new school, some Oaklawn Elementary students were bused across town to First English Lutheran Church or Jefferson Elementary for classes.
Another smaller group of students will remain at Oaklawn while work is being done.
Oaklawn's principal says all the changes are going smoothly so far.
Oaklawn principal, Scott Johanknecht, "Students boarded the buses and said their goodbyes to moms and dads... gave their hugs and kisses.. loaded up on the buses and came right over to Jefferson here and unloaded right onto the playground."
The new Oaklawn school is expected to be ready by fall of next year.
