Fatal Car vs. Pedestrian Accident

OSHKOSH, Wisc. (WFRV) Police are on scene of a fatal pedestrian/car accident at the intersection of 8th Avenue and Ohio Street in Oshkosh.

They were called to the intersection just before 2am.

A 53-year-old female from Oshkosh was hit while walking in the area. She was transported to a local hospital and died.

A 45-year-old Oshkosh female was taken into custody.

Alcohol appears to be a factor in the crash.

The victim's name is being withheld pending notification of family.

Police are looking for a possible 2nd vehicle involved in the accident. It's described as a white Ford Expedition/Explorer type vehicle.

Ohio Street between 6th and 9th Avenue will be closed until at least 9am.
