Greenville, Wis.(WFRV)--The firefighters who lost their lives on 9/11 were remembered today in Greenville, Wisconsin.
Greenville firefighters took a moment to gather in front of a memorial to reflect on what took place 11 years ago today.
Firefighters and their families called for a moment of silence.
Dedicated just last month, the memorial features two steel beams dedicated from Ground Zero.
The Fire Chief says the fire department submitted a request to the New York Port Authority and received the beams last year.
Chief Rick Romenesko calls the site the perfect place to reflect and learn about that tragic day. Greenville is just one of 32 communities to receive a piece from Ground Zero.
