The Brewers started slow but finished strong against the Braves at Miller Park on Wednesday night. Milwaukee fell behind 2-0 until the 5th inning, but that's when they started an 8-run rally on seven hits capped off by a Yovani Gallardo RBI double. Rickie Weeks gave the Brewers a 3-2 lead with a three run homer that puts him 19 HR for the season. After Jonathon Lucroy smacked a RBI single, Travis Ishikawa cleared the bases with a three run double off the wall in right center to put Milwaukee ahead 7-2. Gallardo was also solid on the mound scattering four hits and allowing two runs over seven innings of work with six strikeouts. The 8-2 win puts the Brewers over .500 for the first time since April 12th and Milwaukee has now won 18 out of their last 23 games. The Brewers are off on Thursday, as they get set to host the Mets over the weekend, and they are now just 3 games out of the wildcard spot in the NL playoff race.
