Neenah, Wis.(WFRV)--The city of Neenah is constructing a new park on the west shore of Little Lake Butte des Morts.

Laurie Olson of the Neenah Parks and Recreation department says " You would come in here off of Lake Street. As you can see, we have the canoe and kayak launch, we have some seating along the shorelines.

The city already owns the three acre property, construction was made possible after 88-year-old Alice Jean Smith gave the city 600-thousand dollars toward a new park.

A new trestle bridge will lead the trail to Arrowhead Park downtown.

Local Five's Donald Robinson has the story.
