Algoma (WFRV) Folks are making wine the old fashion way on the Lakeshore.
By stomping grapes in a barrel at the Wet Whistle Wine Festival in Algoma.
O.K. they don't actually use the grape juice that is stomped. But the wine stomp competitions are the main attraction.
And anyone can participate.
There is also plenty of music, food and free wine tasting at the Von Stiehl Winery.
Saturday morning there was a celebrity stomp off. Local Five's Millaine Wells and Heather Sawaski were in the first heat.
While Wendy Fleury and Chelly Boutott were in the second. Wendy came out on top in the Local Five Ladies Competition.
You still have time to join in the fun--- the event continues Sunday from noon until 3-- and its free on Sunday.
