Green Bay, Wis. (WFRV) - Imagine running three marathons in three days...that's exactly what two old dogs who care are doing for our troops.
Best friends and former marines, Shannon Anker and Chad Hintz, took off from Rib Mountain Friday morning.
They walked up to eighteen hours a day carrying 80 pound sacks, sleeping in tents along the Mountain Bay Trail.
More than 100 miles later the two arrived at Lambeau Field this afternoon.
Three years ago, the two formed Old Dogs Who Care to raise money to send care packages to troops overseas.
"we know how it brightens up your day, gives ya a little bit of extra pep in your step," Hintz says, "raises your morale a little bit and lets ya know that people are thinking of ya."
