(WFRV) A poll just put out by Quinnipiac University, CBS News, and the New York times, shows President Obama now holds a narrow lead in Wisconsin.
The president is leading Mitt Romney 51% to 45%.
That's up from a two point lead a month ago, but still lower than the 14 points he won the state by four years ago.
And that same poll shows Democrat Tammy Baldwin appears to have closed the gap between Republican former governor Tommy Thompson in Wisconsin's US Senate race.
The poll by Quinnipiac University shows both Baldwin and Thompson with 47% support.
Thompson had led 50% to 40% in the last poll done a month ago.
That poll has a margin of error of plus or minus two point five percent.
