The Brewers are playing their best baseball of the season when it matters the most. Milwaukee continued their winning ways with a 9-7 win over the Pirates completing a sweep of Pittsburgh on Thursday. Rickie Weeks hit a game tying two-run triple in the 8th inning and scored the go-ahead run when Aramis Ramirez brought him home with a single pacing Milwaukee to a rally for the victory. Ramirez gave the Brewers a 3-0 lead with a home run early in the contest and Milwaukee was up 4-0 before the Pirates rattled off seven straight runs. The Brewers have now won five straight games, eight of their last nine, 15 of 19, and 23 out of their last 29 to not only climb back into the National League playoff picture, but they remain just 2 games behind the Cardinals for the final wild-card spot. Milwaukee starts a four game series with the Nationals on the road Friday night.
