Thermo Fisher-Scientific in Two Rivers closes

Two Rivers, Wis. (WFRV) - Thermo Fisher-Scientific has officially closed in Two Rivers.

The company began layoffs in early spring, and the last of the employees finished up work Friday.

The jobs were moved to a Thermo Fisher plant in Texas.

On Facebook, the City of Two Rivers posted "the TR manufacturing operations are ending today after 130 years, a company that started from wood type and grew to be a key part of the fabric of our community."
