Brewers rally past Nationals, now 1.5 games behind in Wild Card chase

By: Nick Goddard
Updated: September 21, 2012
Down 2-1 entering the 9th inning, the Milwaukee Brewers scored three runs to defeat the Washington Nationals on Friday night.

The win, coupled with a loss by the St. Louis Cardinals to the Chicago Cubs earlier in the day, brought Milwaukee within 1.5 games of the defending World Series Champions in the race for the National League's second Wild Card playoff spot.

Norichika Aoki led off the 9th with a bunt single.  2 batters later, Ryan Braun drove in Aoki with a base hit to tie the game.  Aramis Ramirez followed with an RBI double, driving in Braun and giving the Brewers the lead for good.

The Brewers and Nationals continue their four game series Saturday afternoon in Washingon, D. C.
