GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV)  The investigation continues into an accident involving a vehicle and pedestrian on Green Bay's east side.  Around 4:20 Sunday morning, police and fire responders were called to South Baird Street where a 21 year-old female was found lying in the street.  She was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A 31 year-old male has been arrested on suspicion of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and causing injury.  South Baird was closed between Eliza and Emilie Streets for a couple hours this morning while the accident reconstruction team worked the scene.

The department says detectives are still investigating the case.   Count on Local 5 for more details as they become available.
