GBPD investigate east-side accident

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) The investigation continues into an accident involving a vehicle and pedestrian on Green Bay's east side. Around 4:20 Sunday morning, police and fire responders were called to South Baird Street where a 21 year-old female was found lying in the street. She was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
A 31 year-old male has been arrested on suspicion of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and causing injury. South Baird was closed between Eliza and Emilie Streets for a couple hours this morning while the accident reconstruction team worked the scene.
The department says detectives are still investigating the case. Count on Local 5 for more details as they become available.
