Firefighters wear pink to promote Breast Cancer awareness

By: Jim McShea
Updated: September 23, 2012

Bellevue, Wis. (WFRV) - It's not uncommon for a firefighter to ask you to fill a boot for a good cause, but it's not that often that you get to see them do it while wearing pink.

That's what was going on Sunday at the Festival Foods in Bellevue.

Firefighters from the Bellevue Fire Department were sporting pink shirts to promote Breast Cancer awareness and raising money for research.

All the donations went to the Breast Cancer Family Foundation which helps pay for breast cancer research.
