APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) Hundreds lined up in Appleton Tuesday night to get tickets to see Michelle Obama. The First Lady will be speaking at Lawrence University this Friday.
The line wrapped around the block. Organizers wouldn't reveal how many tickets they gave out. But one person joining them to rally support was Wisconsin native and actor Kurtwood Smith. The star of "That 70s Show" says the Valley will be critical to win in November.
"I think it's important for people to vote in this election. Of course, people who will vote for the president - that's who I'd like to encourage," says Smith.
Tickets were given on a first come, first serve basis. Some waited nearly two hours to get them.
