(WFRV) - ESPN is reporting that a deal is very close between the NFL and the Referees Association, and that the locked out officials could be back to work as soon as this Sunday.
The NFL and their replacement officials have come under much scrutiny over the first three weeks of the season.
The breaking point was clearly Monday night, when a controversial call gave the Seattle Seahawks a last second touchdown to defeat the Green Bay Packers.
No deal is official at this time. Count on Local 5 News for continued coverage throughout the day.
