Ashwaubenon, Wis. (WFRV) - Firefighters in Ashwaubenon spent Saturday rocking some pink duds to promote breast cancer awareness...
They were collecting donations for the Breast Cancer Family Foundation with pink boots at the Bay Park Square mall.
They say they want people to be aware of the issue of breast cancer and of the danger it poses to both men and women.
"We want to educate the kids about that," Lt. Jody Crocker says, "so that they can take precautions in their early adult-hood and their adult hood to make sure that bad things don't happen to them."
Last week, the Bellevue Fire Department also collected donations for the foundation.
This is the 6th year the departments have worn pink to promote Breast Cancer awareness.
