(WFRV) - A 29 year old man is in custody after allegedly abducting three children today in Oshkosh.

Fond du Lac Police say shortly after 5:00 Monday night the man kidnapped the children ages 3, 4 and 5 from a home in the 300 block of Hawthorne Drive in Oshkosh.  

The man was allegedly involved in a domestic battery incident with the children's mother earlier in the day.

Police say the man fled with the children in a vehicle and led police on a chase that ended in Menominee Falls.  The man crashed the vehicle and then fled on foot. 

He was eventually arrested.  The three children were found in the vehicle and taken to Children's Hospital in Milwaukee.  Their conditions aren't being released at this time.

The suspect faces three charges of kidnapping and possible other criminal charges will follow.

Police say their investigation remains ongoing and they will release more details on this case.
