Green Bay, Wis.(WFRV)-- Teachers give a lot of their time, and in many cases, their own money to help their students make the grade.
Today, Laura Wolanin, of Howe Elementary School, got a lot of help for her efforts.
She's the recipient of a thousand dollars worth of school supplies from Office Max's "A Day Made Better" program.
Laura Wolanin says she's very grateful. Says Wolanin, " We go through supplies very quickly. A lot of times, we send supplies home with the kids who don't have it at home."
Office Max estimates that teachers, on average, spend a thousand dollars out of pocket each year for school supplies.
