Appleton, Wis.(WFRV)--Outagamie County may stop lending library materials to Brown County residents if a 33-thousand dollar bill isn't withdrawn.

Brown County says it costs them nearly 3-dollars to loan out each book, CD or DVD, and costs are adding up with outside residents coming in.

But Outagamie County says is the fees aren't waived, service to Brown County residents will stop next year.

Appleton Public Library Director Colleen Rortvedt, "We don't get paid because of a loophole in the law. That's where the problem comes in. So we've asked for the bill to be withdrawn."

Brown County has also sent library bills to Oconto, Kewaunee, Manitowoc and Calumet Counties.
