APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) The Republican crowd in Appleton who gathered to watch the debate cheered on Romney, but their reaction to President Obama was clearly less favorable.
Romney supporters called the President a "liar" and "cry baby" while watching the debate on TV. Many felt the President looked nervous. They were happy to hear Romney lay out his plan in five parts: energy independence, increased trade, improved education, a balanced budget and supporting small businesses.
Romney held steady his tax release plan defending accusations form the President that he would make $5 trillion in tax cuts. The Republicans said the policies in place in the current administration are not working and supporters here agree.
During the debate, Romney gave shout outs to a family in Appleton and gave support to Senate candidate Tommy Thompson.
