GREEN
BAY (WFRV) There's no doubt that Georgia
Pacific is a big business in Northeast Wisconsin. And these shops along
Broadway are smaller players. But Advance Business Center officials say the
Small Business Administration has it's own view.
"It's
five-hundred or less for a small business. And over the past several years
that's been debated," said Ryan Kauft, who works with small business
tenants at the center.
Advance
gives entrepreneurs a chance to jump start their businesses. DVM Connexx is an
IT company with eight employees. But it's digital xrays for veterinarians have
a wide impact.
"We're
a team of eight here. So very small and we have a very niche market. Though we
actually operate in 16 countries,"
said Kevin Scholz, President of DVM Connexx.
That
economic potential has many communities looking to help such small firms grow.
By attracting them to industrial parks, they can quickly expand.
"You
can also look to your industrial parks..some of those buildings are huge. But
that have maybe 30 employees or maybe a hundred employees," Kauft said.
