DE PERE, Wis. (WFRV) Hundreds of boaters came to De Pere Sunday morning for a race on the river. St. Norbert's annual Tail of the Fox regatta covered two and a half miles on the Fox River. Teams from across our area and Michigan competed in the race.
It's the 23rd year for the event at St. Norbert College. "It's an entire body workout. All muscle groups. We're generating a lot of heat, so 40/50 degree weather is perfect. You dress a little warmer than normal but it's great, so long as there's no wind," says Steve Engelhardt with the La Baie Verte Rowing Club, a co-sponsor of the event.
Participants say they were expecting it to be about 27 degrees, so 41 felt pretty good.
