Updated: October 10, 2012

Grand Chute, Wis. - (WFRV) - The Outagamie County Sheriff's Department says alcohol played a factor in an early morning crash into a Grand Chute apartment building

Deputies say one was injured when the car crashed into the building in the 1100 block of West Evergreen Drive around 5 a.m.

The driver, a 25-year-old Ripon man, crashed through the wall of the building causing extensive front end damage to his car.

Deputies say they made contact with the man after he backed out of the building and parked on the street attempting to change a damage front tire.

The man told deputies he thought he was traveling southbound on Highway 41 when he missed the turn.
