GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) Just in time for the November election, the Democratic Party of Brown County is opening up its new office in Green Bay. Located on South Chestnut Street, the office is only the second in the state to be owned by a county Democratic Party.
Supporters raised money for several months to be able to purchase the space. At the ribbon cutting today, many democrats told us they are even more fired up to win next month.
"Frankly, we're going to be in this for the long haul, having our own building lets us do that. It's very important to have this building and maintain a presence in the community of Green Bay. We couldn't be happier to be in the On Broadway district," says party member Mary Ginnebaugh.
State Senator Dave Hansen and other Democrats running for office were on hand to the opening.
