"He's been getting a lot of treatment," said Packers Head Coach Mike McCarthy Thursday. "He wanted to go today, felt it was important to get on it and see where he was. Once we started practicing he said he felt he needed to take all the reps, so he did."
B.J. Raji was able to practice Thursday for the first time since injuring his ankle in the first quarter against the Colts two weeks ago. Raji was listed as a "limited participant" on the injury report, and his status for St. Louis is unknown at this time. McCarthy says the Field Turf used in the Edward Jones Dome would not be a factor in Raji's status. That decision will be made strictly on if he's healthy enough to go.
"B.J. definitley took a step today as far as going through the rehab and practicing today," said McCarthy. "As always when the player does come back for the first day, the examination tomorrow will obviously be very important. But it was good to have him out there."
WR Greg Jennings (groin), CB Sam Shields (shin/ankle), and LB Nick Perry (knee) all missed practice Thursday.
