Hometown Hero: Warren Jarvis

KIMBERLY, Wis. (WFRV) - Local 5 is proud to bring you another one of our Hometown Heroes. This week we meet a Kimberly man who helped the U.S. take the fight back to the Japanese empire after the attacks on Pearl Harbor.
Warren Jarvis became a B-29 pilot after enlisting in the Army Air Corps back in 1942. He completed 35 successful bombing raids over Japan, including a night raid which destroyed 16 square miles of Tokyo.
Jarvis alos served in the Air Force Reserve, retiring as Lieutenant Colonel.
