Greenleaf, Wis. (WFRV) - Getting a care package from home, can mean a lot to our soldiers stationed overseas.
Which is why dozens of people spent the day filling boxes as part of 'operation care package'.
The service project was held at Morrison Zion Lutheran School in Greenleaf.
Community members packed 100 care packages to send overseas.
They contain things like food, playing cards, thank you notes and more.
"We try to do a servant event every year, but this is the first time we've done a military one and it's been really exciting and we'd like to another one in the future," organizer Amanda Humann says.
Most of the packages will be sent to Germany where they will be distributed.
