WIXX Pumpkin drop ushers in Halloween

Green Bay, Wis.(WFRV)--In honor of Halloween, a local event answered the question.. what will happen when a 250 pound pumpkin is dropped from 70 feet?

To find the answer, WIXX Radio staff dropped a pumpkin this morning as part of a morning show contest in which listeners predicted how far ping pong balls inside the pumpkin would fly on impact..

Surprisingly the winner was only 59 inches... but WIXX Radio show host John Maino says other lessons were learned.

They expect next years event to be even bigger, with a one thousand pound pumpkin drop on Halloween.
