The Green Knights gave the Fighting Phoenix a run for their money in the first half, but Green Bay pulled away from a close halftime score to lead by as many as 27 and defeat St. Norbert 83-63 in exhibition action at the Kress Center on Wednesday. At one point, St. Norbert led it 16-12, but Green Bay's size and speed proved to be too much in the matchup between D-1 Green Bay and D-3 SNC.
Alec Brown (18 points, 6 rebounds), Brennan (16 points, 7 rebounds), Keifer Sykes (11 points, 5 assists) and Kam Cerroni (11 points) all reached double figures for the Phoenix.
Freshman Jordan Fouse started and made an impressive debut for Green Bay, totaling seven points, six rebounds, six assists, four blocks and three steals.
Andrew Schwoerer led the Green Knights with 14 points.
Green Bay opens the regular season on Nov. 10, hosting Chicago State at 1 p.m.
