Green Bay, Wis. (WFRV) - The Catholic Diocese of Green Bay has been ordered to pay half a million dollars after a judge in Las Vegas sided with the plaintiff in a civil lawsuit against them.
The judge concluded that the diocese was negligent in transferring John Patrick Feeney to a Nevada parish where he allegedly molested a 13-year old boy.
The diocese will also stand trial next may in Wisconsin, involving the sexual abuse of another child.
Church officials are accused of concealing Feeney's history in that case as well.
