Green Bay, Wis.(WFRV)-- The Shopko Foundation is lending a helping hand to the victims of Hurricane Sandy.

The Green Bay-based retailer's foundation made a 25-thousand dollar donation this morning to support the American Red Cross' relief efforts.

The Shopko Foundation hopes their act of charity is just the beginning.

Says Mike Bettiga, Executive Vice President at Shopko, "We certainly hope other companies in the area follow suit. We know there have been great efforts across the country that reached out to support the people who have been impacted, and we would hope that other people would join us as well."

For more information on how you can donate, head to the Red Cross website.
