Brown County veterans honored in Green Bay

Green Bay, Wis.(WFRV)--Veterans living in a Green Bay retirement community were honored at a ceremony today.
The ladies of the Red Hat Society and Brown County Supervisor Pat Evans presented veterans at Marla Vista Manor with an American flag pin and certificates.
Service men and women from Vietnam, Korea and World War II were on hand.
One veteran told Local Five that the event gives him a chance to reflect.
Veteran Fred Peterson, "It mean an awful lot to me. I recognize that we are recognizied, and the four years that I spent in the service; I'm so happy. It gives fond memories."
Brown County is home to an estimated 5, 000 military veterans.
