173 Wolves taken in Wisconsin, Minnesota hunts

Green Bay, Wis.(WFRV)-- Wolf hunters and trappers have taken 64 wolves in the Wisconsin's first ever wolf hunt. That's according to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
The state set a quota of 201 wolves this season, and issued 116 permits..
Minnesota set a quota of 400 wolves and has issued 3,600 licenses.
So far, 109 wolves have been killed in the first eight days of Minnesota's wolf hunt.
