Green Bay, Wis.(WFRV)-- Betina Driver, wife of Packers great Donald Driver, kicked off the 23rd annual Give a Kid a book campaign Monday in Green Bay.
The campaign, organized by Friends of the Brown County library, encourages everyone to donate new books as holiday gifts for local children in low-income families.
Thousands of books are distributed through the Salvation Army's holiday assistance program in Green Bay and through other community programs in Brown County that serve at-risk youth and promote year-round reading.
Says Driver, "Books are an inexpensive way.to encourage education and learning."
Book collection sites are located at all Associated Banks, all Brown County library branches, and other locations throughout the community.
You can drop off books at any collection site before December 10.
