GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - The question of the day is, do you feel lucky?

At least $550 million are up for grabs in tonight's Powerball drawing.

It is already a record for the game and the second-highest jackpot in us lottery history, behind only the $656 million mega millions prize in march.

A single winner choosing the lump sum cash option would take home more than 360 million dollars before taxes.

Powerball has not had a winner for two months and that is driving people to gas stations like this around the nation.

Powerball is sold in 42 states, Washington, DC and the US Virgin islands.

Wisconsin's lottery director tells Local 5 people are even flying in from out of the country to play.

Festival Foods on West Mason street has a claim to Powerball fame. It sells more tickets there than any other location in Brown County.

At one point in time today Wisconsin was selling $4800 worth of tickets every minute.

Quick picks are the most popular on a day like this to get through the line faster.

However, lottery officials say it does not matter if you or the computer pick the numbers, your odds are the same, 1 in 175 million.

One other tip, sign the back of your ticket right away. That makes it legally yours, even if you happen to lose it.

Make sure you check the ticket for smaller prizes even if you do not win the jackpot.
