Powerball Jackpot Winners

By: Kris Schuller
Updated: November 29, 2012

(WFRV) If you're still carrying around a Powerball ticket - wondering if you're a multi-millionaire, don't bother pulling it out. Two winning tickets for the half a billion dollar jackpot were sold - just not in Wisconsin. So where were the two multi-million win tickets sold and to who?

One ticket was sold in Fountain Hills, Arizona. The other in Dearborn, Missouri. Needless to say, both communities are a little anxious to meet the new millionaires

At the "4 Sons" convenience store in Fountain Hills, a flurry of activity as this community waits to meet its new millionaire.

"I'm excited it's someone from Arizona because usually with the Powerball, it's always a different state," said Laura Roth.

The Arizona winner will share  the jackpot with a winner in Missouri, who bought the ticket in the tiny town of Dearborn - population 500.

The Trex Mart convenience store sold the ticket and Missouri lottery officials say they've seen it.  A news conference to talk about who purchased it and won, is scheduled for Friday morning.

"With this being a truck stop, it could be a trucker that's passing because we get a lot of people from out of town," speculated a woman at the store on Wednesday.

While the "Show Me State" will soon reveal it's winner, in Arizona lottery officials remain in the dark - and are trying to send a message to the winner.

"We ask you to take the following steps," said lottery spokesperson Karen Bach. "Sign your ticket. Of course keep your ticket safe."

The owners of the two winning tickets will spilt a record  $558 million Powerball jackpot.
