Whooping cough cases spike in Appleton

Appleton, Wis.(WFRV)--Wisconsin leads the nation in whooping cough cases this year, but numbers in Appleton are even worse. Health officials say the city's rate of 336 cases per 100-thousand people is almost 3-and-a-half times the statewide figure.
Appleton Public Health Officer Kurt Eggebrecht joined Local Five's Kris Schuller today at 4pm to talk about what's driving this spike in whooping cough, and what can be done to prevent getting sick..
