Christian Ponder out, Joe Webb to start for Vikings vs. Packers

By: Nick Goddard
Updated: January 5, 2013
Minnesota Vikings starting quarterback Christian Ponder is inactive for tonight's playoff game against the Green Bay Packers.

Ponder injured his throwing elbow against the Packers in last Sunday's regular season finale.  He was limited in practice the entire week and listed as questionable on the team's injury report Friday.

Ponder warmed up for a short time on the field in pregrame tonight, but the Vikings have made the decision to sit him out.

In his place will be Joe Webb, who hasn't thrown a pass the entire 2012 regular season.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 at Lambeau Field tonight.
