In a surprising development prior to the game, the Vikings announced that starting quarterback Christian Ponder would be inactive for the game. Ponder injured his elbow last Sunday in the season finale against the Packers, but finished that game.
Joe Webb received the start under center for Minnesota, and struggled throughout the night. Webb completed just 11 of 30 passes for 180 yards.
On the flip side, Aaron Rodgers had another solid playoff performance, completing 23 of 33 passes for 274 yards and a touchdown. John Kuhn added a touchdown run and touchdown reception for Green Bay, who advances to face the 49ers next Saturday night at 7:00.
