KAUKAUNA, Wis. (WFRV) More development is in store for the area surrounding the old Eagle Mill in Kaukauna. New plans for what's being called Grand KaKalin North were unveiled Wednesday night. They include commercial and residential space - with the centerpiece being a 41-unit senior housing complex.
Plans were based on resident feedback. They join proposed renovations billed as Grand KaKalin South that could house the Kaukauna Library at the old mill. "The whole site is about 5.5 acres - it's a mixture of residential and commercial opportunities," says developer Randy Stadmueller of Stadmueller & Associates.
The Kaukauna City Council still needs to approve a TIF district to help pay for the project. Construction could begin later this year.
