Wisconsin (WFRV) The state is accusing the management of a foster care agency of stealing millions of tax payer's dollars.  And one State Senator wants a full blown investigation.

Community Care Resources in Middleton is run by Dan and Mary Simon.

Last month, the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families completed a yearlong audit that determined more than $5-million dollars was allegedly misused  by CCR.

According to the audit, the money allegedly went toward the couples inflated salaries of more than 530-thousand dollars.  The money was also allegedly used for personal trips to Alaska and Hawaii that totaled 64-thousand, a Lexus truck for 43-thousand and more than 120-thousand dollars in expenses for their three homes, 6-cars and 3-boats..

Next week, the Department of Children and Families will suspend the license issued to Community Care Resources.  Possible criminal charges could be coming.

State Senator Rob Cowles is the Chair of the State's Joint Committee on Audit.

" They can't document how they spent the money on all these things.  When you take a trip to Hawaii, what does that have to do with foster care in Wisconsin. You buy a nice car and so on and so on."  said Senator Cowles.

In an e-mail statement, Community Care Resources' president says neither it or its representatives have stolen anything and vehemently denies the allegations.  The agency has also filed an appeal.
