Local band director leads Mardi Gras parade

Green Bay, Wis.(WFRV)--New Orleans is known for its rich history of jazz--- some of the biggest names in jazz have lived and played there.

And Mardi Gras and jazz go hand in hand. Local Band Director- Kevin Van Ess - has made a name for himself in the jazz world. He's even played on the lead float of the New Orleans Fat Tuesday Mardi Gras parade - twice.
