Marquette Edges Out Syracuse

The Orange went on a 13-0 run midway through the first half to take the 25-14 lead with just over four minutes to play, but Marquette responded by scoring eight points in 41 seconds to pull within three points heading into halftime.
The Golden Eagles made 24-of-28 free throws in the second half, while Syracuse shot just two foul shots. With the three-point win, Marquette extends its home winning streak to 24 games, the second longest in the nation.
