Appleton, Wis. (WFRV) This afternoon, Kandi Siveny made her initial appearance in court for the 2007 murder of Lara Plamann. Siveny and another woman were extradited from Minnesota last month to face charges in Outagamie County. A judge kept Sivney's bond at one million dollars. She's not allowed to have any contact with the other defendants in this case or the victim's family. The judge said Siveny is a danger to the public.
Siveny and her 53 year old mother, Dianna, have long been suspects in Plamann's death. Plamann and Dianna Siveny were domestic partners, and shared a house in Greenville. It was in a shed behind the home where Plamann was found dead.
The other defendant in this case was also transported from Minnesota. Rosie Campbell will appear before a judge on Monday. Prosecutors said Campbell was unavailable for a court appearance Friday.
According to court records, Campbell allegedly witnessed Kandi Siveny shoot Plamann. Prosecutors say her motive was that Dianna Siveny feared Plamann was cheating on her and conspired to kill her.
Both Siveny's are expected back in court on March 25th.
Plamann's family members were in court this afternoon, but declined to comment on camera.
