Green Bay (WFRV) - Some local parents got the chance to make sure their children's safety seats will keep their kids safe in an accident.
The Center for Childhood Safety hosted a Buckle Up Community Car Safety Check Friday at Broadway Ford.
Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death for American children 3 to 14 years old. Many of those deaths are preventable, especially when considering that as many as 90% of all infant and child car seats are installed improperly.
Nationally certified technicians showed parents how to properly install the seats.
