Pulaski, Wis (WFRV) The Red Raiders are finally state champs.
They beat Wisconsin Lutheran for the WIAA Division 2 title Saturday. It's the first team title in school history.
"You never know until you're in that moment what it's going to feel like, and it was fabulous," says coach Dave Shaw.
"It's a dream come true, when the buzzer rang, it was unbelievable, my heart sank," says center Spencer Lawniczak.
The win is even more special for Lawniczak and his family.
"My dad played for the high school too, and he never got a chance to get this, and it feels so unbelievable," he says.
Lawniczak's mom Kristin was first in line to give him a huge when he got home.
"These boys, they're like sons to all of us cause we're so close," says Kristin.
Coach Shaw says, the victory is sweet, but he's already thinking repeat.
"We'll see, that will be a goal I'm sure, any time you win a championship you want to defend it," says Shaw.
