GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - Could a new pope bring changes to the catholic church when it comes to the subject of women and the priesthood?
"Pink smoke over the Vatican" is a documentary about the controversial movement of women seeking to become priests in the catholic church. Right now, only men can be ordained.
Dozens showed up for a screening at the brown county library Monday night.
A Milwaukee woman who considers herself a catholic priest was on hand to share her story.
"I don't spend a lot of time looking to Rome because Rome doesn't spend a lot of time looking to us," Reverend Alice M. Iaquinta says, "we just keep doing the next important thing, putting one foot in front of the other."
There will be another screen of the documentary at the Manitowoc library on march 25th.
